CiviCare
A civil protection and crisis management platform for Polish counties and municipalities, built as four parts of one product: threat and incident tracking, resource and preparedness planning, an analytics dashboard for crisis management staff, and the public landing page. React, Next.js and TypeScript on the client, NestJS behind it.
The challenge
Crisis management staff in a county or municipality have to know which threats are open, who owns them, what a response would need, and what goes into the next report to the region. In practice that knowledge sits in spreadsheets, email threads and legally required plan documents that nobody reconciles, so the current picture has to be assembled by hand every time someone asks for it.
Our approach
We built CiviCare as one product with four surfaces over a shared data model. The tracker treats threats and incidents as first-class records with an owner, a status and a history. The planner ties people, equipment and facilities to the threats they answer, so a preparedness plan stops being a document written once a year. The dashboard turns the same records into the overview an officer needs and the reports the office has to file. The public landing page explains the platform in the language a municipality uses rather than in SaaS terms.
The outcome
Civil protection teams work from one always-current picture of their county instead of reconciling spreadsheets, preparedness plans stay connected to the resources behind them, and reporting stops being a manual assembly job.
